Pivot Bar & Bistro in Covent Garden launches new summer seasonal menu
Pivot Bar & Bistro – situated over two floors in the historic Georgian townhouse of 3 Henrietta Street – has announced the launch of its new summer menu. Overlooking the iconic Covent Garden piazza, the restaurant is headed up by award-winning chef Mark Greenaway and honours fresh seasonal ingredients focusing on quintessential British cuisine.
Greenaway has re-worked the la carte menu to bring regulars and new visitors alike a wealth of new dishes such a starters like Dressed Asparagus with poached hen egg and hollandaise sauce, or Scottish Smoked Salmon served with capers and shallots.
Moving on to mains, try hearty Beef and Bone Marrow Pie is made using British beef shin. Vegetable Pie filled with lentils and spiced vegetables; and Roasted Ham Eggs & Potatoes which is designed to be shared by two people.
Standout side dishes are undoubtedly Roasted Jerusalem Artichokes, Charred Hispi Cabbage with chilli butter and breadcrumbs, and Pivot’s smooth Buttery Mash.
To satisfy your sweet tooth, why not indulge in a classic Sticky Toffee Pudding & Custard or a rich Chocolate Mousse topped with crunchy caramelised hazelnuts and an indulgent clotted cream. For those with a savoury preference, tuck into the English Cheese Selection that celebrates the very best of British in the cheese world.
To pair with your meal, Pivot Bar & Bistro boasts an extensive range of wines and champagnes. For the cocktail-lovers out there, why not try a Mango Honey Margarita with tequila, coconut husk and a charcoal salt rim or a Late Night Sipping made using vodka, citrus gin, and yuzu.
For those dining on a Sunday, make the most of tradition with Pivot’s Sunday Roasts. For just £32 for two courses, or £38 for three courses, enjoy starters such as a rich Chicken and Hazelnut Terrine or light and Creamy White Bean Soup before tucking into a traditional Roast Chicken or a hearty Roast Beef. For those opting for a meat-free option, then the Roasted Cod Fillet or the seasonal Ratatouille make a perfect choice. To quench your thirst, the Sunday Special cocktails are worth a try, including a fruity Pimm’s Cup or if you’re in need of the hair of the dog, go for the Bloody Mary.
Pivot Bar & Bistro has also announced the offer of free Sunday roasts for kids* this summer to make the holidays a little bit more manageable. Children under the age of ten can choose a free main meal (as a kids size portion) from the Sunday Roast menu with a paying adult.
As the restaurant is within walking distance to London’s iconic theatre district, why not pop in for a pre-theatre meal. Taking favourites from the a la carte menu, the set menu can be enjoyed for just £35 per person, or £48 to include a carafe of wine.
