Cloud 9 Launches at Skylon this February
Reach for the sky this February as Skylon introduces Cloud 9, a menu full of glowing delights including cocktails and a dessert, and a cloud installation set to transport guests into a state of euphoria.
Skylon have collaborated with Laurent-Perrier to design three sparkling cocktails, making a champagne Super Nova in the sky.
Launching on Saturday 12th February, the restaurant and bar which is situated on London’s iconic South Bank, will offer guests the chance to have Cocktails in the Clouds as suspended illuminated clouds, rose gold hot air balloons and glowing suns & moons create a romantic place that is out of this world.
Guests can choose from the Cotton Cloud, served in a champagne coupe with a pink cotton candy ball, containing wild berry cordial, rose perfume and Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée, Lucid Dream with truffle honey syrup, Armagnac and Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée, which comes under a glass dome bell jar with a floral aroma and Up & Away of candied ginger, orange bitters, Mandarin Napoleon and Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée finished with a sugar nest. Skylon are offering Londoners Cocktails in the Clouds, drinks served with bar snacks for the perfect late afternoon and early evening pick me up.
Illuminated cloud formations and sun spheres will be suspended above the central bar at Skylon with ivory and pale pink paper peonies, gold and white lanterns and gorgeous balloon canopies with hanging Laurent-Perrier bottles entwined amongst them. The world looks better through rose-tinted glasses and Cloud 9 at Skylon is no exception with its overall romantic pink notes.
A bitter almond cake with cassis consommé served beneath a cloud will carry the theme into the kitchen. The sky’s not the limit with Skylon’s Cloud 9 bar installation.
