Seedlip launches bottled NOgroni: the brand’s acclaimed non-alcoholic cocktail that defines a generation.
A non-alcoholic twist on the classic Negroni, the NOgroni was born in Seedlip Drinks’ Founder Ben Branson’s garage. It debuted at The World’s Best Bar Awards in London in 2017 and has been a popular non-alcoholic listing in some of the best bars around the world ever since. Now Seedlip is bringing the NOgroni into a bottled concept, launched exclusively with London’s Selfridges in October.
Recognising the need for non-alcoholic options as good as their alcoholic counterparts, the NOgroni is a bold & bittersweet contemporary take on a classic cocktail made with a perfectly balanced mix of:
❖Seedlip Spice 94
❖Æcorn Bitter
❖Æcorn Aromatic
Served as an aperitif with food or simply enjoyed on its own, the NOgroni is a complex, bitter & citrusy blend with hints of Chinotto Orange, Grapefruit, All Spice & Gentian.
A history of the NOgroni.
2019 marks the 100th anniversary of the Negroni, a drink invented by, and named after, a notorious Italian count with a cowboy persona, Count Camillo Negroni. In his favourite bar in Florence, Negroni ordered the barman to swap out the soda in his Americano, which was a popular cocktail in the 20thcentury, for gin to make his drink stronger. This new adaptation of the cocktail is now famous, but as flavour and attitudes to drinking continue to evolve with each generation, so do the drinks. The NOgroni is the next evolutionary step for the Negroni and it will define a generation.
The bottle design.
On the neck of the bottle and at the heart of the label is our NOgroni symbol. The diagonal strike through the top right section of the letter ‘O’ in NOgroni represents the slice of orange that is so iconic in both the Negroni and now, the NOgroni.
The three colourways represent the three components of the drink: The top is Seedlip Spice 94, the middle is Æcorn Bitter and the bottom is Æcorn Aromatic.
Each bottle serves two. Simply pour over ice & garnish with an orange twist.
